Hey Momma,
It’s okay, if you don’t have all the answers.
It’s okay, if you don’t feel like a super good person let alone good momma today.
It’s okay, if you feel overwhelmed and under appreciated.
It’s okay, if you made a mistake today.
It’s okay, if you got that drive thru food instead of preparing a full course meal.
It’s okay, if you’re tired and you know it.
It’s okay, if your little one has worked your last nerve and you’re counting down the seconds until bedtime.
It’s okay, if that laundry has piled up into an insurmountable task that frankly is falling out of the over stuffed hamper.
It’s okay, if you cried today all by yourself for the 39 seconds you hid in the bathroom while they yelled your name outside the door.
It’s okay, if you need a little break from the toddler chatter that is on repeat.
It’s okay, to feel like you’re not okay.
It’s okay, to have grown children that you worry more about today than you ever did before.
It’s okay, to reflect back on their youth and wish you had made a few different choices.
I would invite you to remember, there is a God who chose you to be momma for those tiny little humans that hold every piece of your whole heart in their dirty little palms and big eyes. He. Chose. You. 👉🏻 Because he knew that you were exactly who they needed to be their momma. You won’t get it all right. You will make mistakes. You’ll wonder if a single thing you do makes a difference in their life. The days will be long and the years will be short.
Gird all you do in prayer. Your good, good Father will make up the difference between what they need and what you have. Every day, his mercies are anew and his grace sufficient. You might stumble but you won’t fall. The righteous don’t beg for bread. Their Father provides.
It’s okay, to say, God I am not enough alone but in humble obedience to you, I submit my marriage, my children, my home to you trusting that you are merciful, gracious, kind, loving, sovereign, and faithful. I will honor you all the days of my life even the ones when I feel inadequate. Trusting you are with me as I do the work you’ve given me as their momma. Help me to teach them to honor you by showing them who you are.
Love,
One momma to another 💕
