The weight of this hurt is heavier than my heart can carry. Everything I see says this is too far gone. The depth of the hollow ache in my chest is indescribable. It consumes my ability to breathe. Where did my beating heart go. How can I praise in a time like this.
Broken. People. Why – you might ask. Because its me ~ I am broken people. I have felt the sting of rejection. Carried the weight of failure. Worn the shame of stigma. Fallen on my face in a desperation unable to find my way. Wondered who I was – struggled to find MY identity. Came to the harsh but beautiful realization that I personally needed MY Savior.
In the middle of the messiest time of your life, God’s glory can shine through you, if you’re willing to sow through your tears.
The lens they peer through is an unfiltered lens of love. The filters of the world view covered in bias, prejudice, unbelief, and selfish shallow love isn’t clouding the view. It’s purely a view of love without boundaries.
I was a statistic and I knew it. She knew it. But she treated me with compassionate care in a way that left me different. And I wanted to do the same for someone else.
