Oh my heart breaks for you, ladies. It aches deeply.
As we wander through these perilous times celebrating Jezebel, we, albeit naively, yet, tragically the same, bow our knee to culture becoming of the world separated from God.
Jezebel says, I can have whatever I want.
Jezebel says, I can be anything I want.
Jezebel says, let me grab a man whom I can control.
Jezebel says, I’ll bow my knee to my pagan gods and demand you do the same.
Jezebel says, revenge is mine, watch me get it.
Jezebel says, look at me, me, me, me, it’s all about me.
Jezebel says, girl power.
Jezebel says, dress me up in the immodest attire of the day and look upon me as you adore me.
Jezebel says, no need for holiness that stuff is outdated.
Jezebel says, there is no eternity in hell so live for the moment, better yet, live for your moment.
Ladies, dolled up in pink, chasing your Barbie life in a Barbie world – be careful, jezebel wears pink too and chases those same things. Remember: me, me, me, is not how you were called to live. In case we forgot 👉🏻 pick up your cross and die daily.
Conversely,
Esther.
Esther says, I will be what God calls me to be.
Esther says, I will take godly counsel.
Esther says, I’ll deny self to intercede on the behalf of others.
Esther says, my God, how can you use me in this kingdom for your Kingdom. Let me not mistake my earthly title for my Kingdom position.
Esther says, let me petition the Lord to go before me as I rely not upon my own strength, talents, or beauty.
Esther says, in this palace, I am living in the world but not of the world, consecrated to God for service to Him alone.
Esther says, let “us” call upon the Lord for he goes before us even in the face of great adversity, I will call upon the name of the Lord and leave the outcome to him.
Be, Esther.
Seek after Jesus Christ as your identity and let the world have their own. Consecrate yourselves to the only living holy God and prepare for your very own, for such a time as this. PSA: It won’t come following the world.
